In Their Own Words

SR

Somchai Rattanawong

Bangkok · Retired government employee

"The audit document they produced was unlike anything I had received from the pension authority. It went through every year I had worked and set out clearly where the discrepancy appeared to be. I was able to read it myself, and I understood it. That was the first time in two years that I had felt I actually knew what was going on with my pension."

Wanida Phromrat

Chiang Mai · Former private sector employee

"I engaged them for a back-payment claim covering a period when I was employed but my contributions were not appearing on the authority's records. They did not ask me to sign anything or agree to anything until they had shown me what they intended to submit. When the authority partially accepted the claim, the letter they sent me explained in plain terms what had been agreed, what remained, and what my options were."

Thawee Kamonpet

Bangkok · Retired teacher

"I had tried on my own for some time before approaching Niran Advocates. The difference was that they put everything in writing, which meant I could show the documents to my son and have him read them too. The process took several months, which is what they had told me it would take. They did not tell me it would be quick. They told me it would be thorough."

Nittaya Limcharoen

Nonthaburi · Former bank employee

"The hearing was something I was nervous about. Niran Advocates attended with me and handled all the formal parts. Afterwards they wrote a clear summary of what had been said and what the next steps would be. I felt, throughout the whole matter, that I understood what was happening — which had not been my experience before."

Buncha Chaisuwan

Pathum Thani · Former factory manager

"I was told by a colleague to expect the audit to take three or four weeks. It took four weeks. When I received the document it was clear and well organised. My situation turned out to be more complex than I had expected, and they recommended the back-payment service as a next step, which they explained plainly in writing before I decided."

Malee Laosuksri

Bangkok · Retired civil servant

"My pension had been reduced following a review. I did not fully understand why. Niran Advocates produced a written reconstruction of my original entitlement and then, alongside it, a written explanation of where the authority's review had arrived at a different figure. Seeing both documents side by side, I understood the situation for the first time."

Three Matters in Detail

Thirty-Two Years of Contribution Records Reviewed

Challenge

A retired government employee received a pension figure considerably lower than the amount she had expected from her thirty-two years of continuous employment. Her records showed several gaps that she was unable to account for independently.

What We Did

We compiled employment records year by year and produced a full reconciliation document identifying four years where contribution entries appeared to be missing or understated. This was presented to the client for review before any approach to the authority.

Outcome

The audit document was used as the basis for a back-payment claim for the four relevant years. Timeline from engagement to completed audit: four weeks. The client now holds the reconciliation on file for her own records.

Two Years of Underpayment Addressed Through Formal Claim

Challenge

A client identified two years during which her employer had deducted contributions from her salary but the entries had not been credited to her pension record. She had raised the matter herself but received no substantive response.

What We Did

We compiled the documentary record for the two relevant years, including payslips and employer correspondence, drafted a formal back-payment claim, and managed the administrative correspondence with the pension authority over approximately three months.

Outcome

The authority accepted the claim in full for one of the two years and partially for the second. The client received a written explanation of the partial acceptance and chose not to pursue the remaining balance.

Pension Revoked Following Administrative Review: Restoration Proceeding

Challenge

A client's pension had been revoked following an administrative review that disputed the validity of his employment records for an eleven-year period. The notice from the authority was complex and the basis for the revocation was not clearly explained.

What We Did

We produced a written reconstruction of the original entitlement calculation, compiled all employment documentation for the disputed period, and prepared the formal submission. We attended the administrative hearing and reported in writing after each procedural step.

Outcome

The authority reinstated the pension in respect of the disputed period. The matter took approximately seven months from engagement to conclusion. The client held written reports from us at each stage of the proceedings.
