How Niran Advocates Came to Specialise in Pension Law
Niran Advocates opened its practice in Watthana, Bangkok, after its founders observed a consistent pattern: pension holders who had worked the requisite years were receiving figures that did not match their employment histories, and the administrative processes for challenging those figures were difficult to navigate without professional assistance.
The practice was built around a single operating principle — that every client should receive a written account of every finding and every decision before any step is taken on their behalf. This is not merely a procedural preference. It is the foundation of how a client retains meaningful ownership of their own matter.
Over the years, the firm has handled audits, back-payment claims, and full restoration proceedings for clients whose pension entitlement had been reduced or revoked following administrative review. Each matter is treated with the same measured attention, regardless of the sum in dispute.
Our mission is neither to be the largest pension law firm in Bangkok nor the fastest. It is to be the most thorough — and the most legible. Clients often arrive with years of correspondence they have found difficult to interpret. One of the first things we do is produce a written summary, in plain English, of where their matter stands and what the documentary record shows.
Thailand's pension authority has its own administrative rhythms, and we have worked within those rhythms long enough to understand how submissions should be structured and at what point hearings are likely to be required. This practical knowledge is applied carefully, without urgency, to each client's specific situation.
Niran Advocates does not offer settlement predictions or outcome assurances. What we offer is the careful, documented, professionally managed process that a pension matter of this kind requires.
— The Team
The People Who Handle Your Matter
Niran Thawatchai
Principal Advocate
Leads all comprehensive pension restoration proceedings. Has appeared before the Social Security Appeals Committee on pension matters for over fifteen years and drafts all principal submissions personally.
Praew Lertprasert
Senior Caseworker

Somsak Kruapan
Client Liaison
First point of contact for all new enquiries. Ensures that each client understands the process in plain terms before any service is engaged, and maintains the written communication log throughout every matter.
— Our Standards
The Protocols That Govern Every Matter We Handle
Written Reporting at Every Stage
No finding, recommendation, or decision is communicated verbally only. Every matter produces a paper trail the client may keep on file.
Document Confidentiality
All records provided by a client are stored under confidentiality protocols appropriate to legal practice and are not shared beyond the parties directly concerned in the matter.
Scope-Controlled Engagements
Each service has a defined scope. Any work required outside that scope is identified in writing and requires the client's explicit instruction before it proceeds.
Registered Legal Practice
Niran Advocates operates as a registered legal practice under Thai law, subject to the applicable professional conduct standards for advocates in Thailand.
Client Approval Before Submission
Draft submissions to the pension authority are shared with the client for review before they are sent. No correspondence is filed in the client's name without their approval of the content.
Realistic Timelines Communicated
Expected timelines are set out in writing at the outset of each matter, and clients are informed in writing if circumstances require a revision to that estimate.
— Our Approach
Pension Law Advocacy Grounded in Documentary Method
Pension calculation disputes in Thailand turn, in almost every case, on the quality and completeness of the documentary record. Employment history, contribution statements, and administrative correspondence each carry weight — but only when compiled in a structured, chronologically coherent form that the pension authority can follow without difficulty.
At Niran Advocates, we approach each matter as a documentary exercise first. Before any submission is drafted, the underlying record is examined in detail, compared against the client's own employment history, and presented to the client in the form of a working reconciliation. This document becomes the foundation for everything that follows, whether the matter resolves at the audit stage or proceeds through formal claim and, where necessary, to a hearing.
Our practice operates from Watthana, Bangkok, and our work covers contribution audits, back-payment recovery proceedings, and comprehensive restoration matters arising from administrative review decisions. Clients approach us from across Thailand; our written reporting process means that much of the client communication can proceed effectively by correspondence.
We maintain no expectation that matters will resolve quickly. The administrative process for pension disputes in Thailand has its own pace, and we work within it methodically rather than pressing for outcomes that the process does not support. Our view is that a client who understands exactly where their matter stands at every point is better served than one who receives optimistic summaries and then faces unexpected complications.
